lyrics
Today I heard some joyful music
I sure know some folks could use it
To heal the holes in their broken hearts
To be the soundtrack for a fresh start
I heard their soul and I heard their blues
I heard some folks with some real good news
I heard a country about to pop
I felt the rhythm and felt it rock
Come on friends, can you hear it too?
I hear America singing!
A song for me and a song for you
I hear America singing!
You might not find it on the radio station
I hear America singing!
Cuz it’s blasting from the soul of a nation
I hear America singing!
Sometimes it’s singing a sad song
Sometimes it’s singing a glad song
Sometimes the good and the bad song
But if you will listen to my song
I’ll try to listen to your song
Then maybe we can write our song
Ooh la la la la ooh la la
I hear America singing!
Ooh la la la la ooh la la
I hear America singing!
So join in now everybody
I hear America singing!
Add your voice and connect your body
I hear America singing!
Can you feel that soothing spirit?
I hear America singing!
You gotta open up if you want to hear it!
I hear America singing!
From Portland East to Portland West
I hear America singing!
To my old hometown I love the best
I hear America singing!
From Mississippi up to Chicago
I hear America singing!
From Canada down to Mexico hear America singing!
Cantamos
Con melancolia
O con alegría
Con la misma melodía
Si escuchas
Mi cantar
Te puedo escuchar
Cantemos juntos algún día!
Ooh la la la la ooh la la
I hear America singing!
Ooh la la la la ooh la la
I hear America singing!
Ooh la la la la ooh la la
I hear America singing!
Ooh la la la la ooh la la
I hear America singing!
